Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas Airways is the flag carrier of Australia has grown to be Australia's largest domestic and international airline. Based in Sydney, Qantas is widely regarded as the world's leading long distance airline and one of the strongest brands in Australia.

The Qantas Group's main business is the transportation of customers using two complementary airline brands - Qantas and Jetstar. Qantas and its subsidiaries operate 285 aircraft, which includes 72 aircraft by Jetstar Airways, 82 by the various QantasLink-branded airlines, 8 by Jetconnect and 5 by Express Freighters Australia. Qantas owns Jetstar Airways, a low-cost airline that operates both international services from Australia and domestic services within Australia and New Zealand; and holds stakes in a number of other Jetstar-branded airlines.

Qantas flies to 20 domestic destinations and 21 international destinations in 14 countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania excluding the destinations served by its subsidiaries. The entire Qantas group serves 65 domestic and 31 international destinations.
